Dr. Shuai Li is Founder and CEO of SIMR Biotechnology, where he leads the development of first-in-class therapies for pain and other diseases with significant unmet need. A neuroscientist by training, he previously served as an Assistant Professor at the Chinese Academy of Sciences. His research has appeared in Cell, The Journal of Neuroscience, and British Journal of Pharmacology, and he is an inventor on more than 20 granted patents across major markets. Under his leadership, SIMR has built a pipeline of selective GABA receptor allosteric modulators. Its candidate SR750 has shown encouraging clinical proof of concept in trigeminal neuralgia, and Dr. Li is advancing further clinical research in chronic pain.
